Episode 3: Dr. Cynthia Balina and Keith Cavey
Dr. Balina served as an internist/geriatrician at MetroHealth prior to joining the McGregor PACE team as a staff physician in 2010. She has led PACE to expand services and in 20203 was promoted to Medial Director.
Dr. Balina earned her medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and completed her internship, residency, and geriatric fellowship at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland Ohio. She is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine, and has served as medical director for several community nursing homes. Her areas of interest include home-based care, treatment of addiction and mental illness in the elderly, and palliative and end-of-life care.
