After many years, the Anna V. Brown Community Forum and Conference was brought back to life at McGregor!
Idenifying the unqiue needs and experiences of Black elders, the conference initiated ongoing community dialogue among Black elders, their caregivers and the community’s health, human services, mental health and education service providers.
One of the sessions; “In their own words” described the highs and lows of being a family caregiver through the experiences and words of Ms. Frances Blount and Dr. Mae Wykle. Their insights we equally enlightening as well as sharing humerous moments!
