The McGregor Foundation names Ann M. Conn to President & CEO, succeeding R. Robertson Hilton
Tuesday, October 1, 2019

The McGregor Foundation appoints Ann M. Conn to assume the responsibilities of President and CEO when Rob Hilton retires after nineteen years in that position on January 1, 2020.

Ms. Conn, currently the organization’s Chief Operating Officer, began her career with McGregor in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer, and moved up to COO in 2017.

“Ann evidences her passion for our mission of “supporting seniors in need and those who serve them” through her ability to plan and execute across our entire continuum of services and her strong financial acumen,” advises Roberta R. McNamara, McGregor’s Board Chair.

When R. Robertson “Rob” Hilton became President and CEO of McGregor in the spring of 2001, the organization was a small, not-for-profit operator of nursing homes serving the east side of Cleveland since 1877. Today, McGregor’s 600 employees now serve nearly 900 seniors daily, operating seven different caresettings, including a new 90-unit assisted living facility on the main campus in East Cleveland.

Among the organization’s operations, McGregor PACE, the only “Program for the All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)” in Ohio, cares for 600 participants, enabling nursing home eligible seniors to age in place in their homes. In 2002, McGregor started a formal grantmaking operation, Ohio’s only funder focused exclusively on the needs of economically disadvantaged frail elderly. Since its inception, this program has provided 560 grants to 135 organizations, totaling in excess of $15 million.

She brings her passion of serving the needs of older adults and the mission through an ability to plan and implement residential care, community-based services, her strong financial acumen, community partnerships and will shepherd the opening of McGregor’s new assisted living and McGregor PACE center.
