Not all heroes wear capes!

McGregor recognizes our behind-the-scenes heroes.

Our heroes might not look like superheroes in movies, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t making a difference every single day! The senior living community at McGregor is made up of warm, energetic and vibrant people, from those in our care to those providing care. Our new “Behind-the-Scenes Heroes” campaign pays homage to those that go that extra mile to make the day better for someone else. 

We are encouraging our residents, families and guests to recognize those who made a difference. Maybe they helped someone who was lost. Perhaps they aided someone who needed help with a door. Maybe they just smiled at a time when someone really needed it. Whatever the scenario, if our senior living residents feel that someone helped make McGregor a better place, we want to know about it!

We will be providing forms to our residents and they are encouraged to fill one out every time they encounter a “Behind-the-Scenes Hero.” Each form will give that hero one “point,” and those points can be used to pick up some awesome McGregor Merchandise in our gift shop. The hero will also receive a limited-edition pin to show everyone that they are someone who makes a difference in the lives of others here at our facility!

The program will culminate in April of 2020 during National Nursing Home Month. We will be sharing “31 Ways in 31 Days,” highlighting all of the ways our heroes have brightened the lives of those around them.  

If you visit our campus, be on the lookout for heroes! They might not have a cape, but they can make you feel like you can conquer the world through kindness.
