Leadership Letter
A Commitment to the Community
Letter from the President Ι Ann M. Conn
Since 2002, The McGregor Foundation has supported Northeast Ohio community partners that contribute to the delivery of services that allow seniors to age in place. Grounded in our mission of Supporting Seniors and Those Who Serve Them, our funding priorities mirror the needs of our region.
The Foundation continues to focus on agencies that provide wrap-around services that enhance the safety and well-being of seniors. We support organizations, both small and large, that deliver a range of programming that address basic needs, safety, and access to critical resources that promote stability.
Workforce recruitment and retention has emerged as an area of investment, recognizing the dramatic demographic changes in Cuyahoga County – an increasing number of older adults and a limited pool of individuals to provide direct care. Innovation and collaboration are valued as a means to encourage rewarding career pathways in aging services.
We promote quality-of-life programming that provides low-income seniors access to non-clinical wellness, cultural, and recreational experiences that offer socialization, connectivity, and enjoyment.
The Foundation believes that advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels are critical to overarching policy and funding decisions that drive systems of care, reimbursement, and housing availability. By partnering with organizations in this work, McGregor can leverage far greater impact across a range of issues.
The McGregor Foundation is proud to be a funder, collaborator, and convener, addressing the ever-changing needs of older adults.
