McGregor to Participate in The Cleveland Foundation’s 5th Annual Common Ground
Growing Common Ground: People, Place, Shared Power – Connecting with our neighbors and the community
Beginning this July 16, The Cleveland Foundation will be celebrating the 5th anniversary of Common Ground—traditionally a one-day event—with a two-week-long celebration of community and the meaningful connections that lead to purposeful actions. From July 16 through July 30, community partners around Greater Cleveland will participate by hosting their own conversations across Cuyahoga, Lake, and Geauga counties. This year’s theme is “Growing Common Ground: People, Place, Shared Power.”
McGregor is excited to participate in Common Ground by hosting a public conversation for the community on July 29, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Invited participants in our conversation include:
- Community Partnership on Aging
- Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries
- City of Cleveland Heights Community Center
- Euclid Lakefront Community Center
- 211
- The Center for Community Solutions
- ESOP
- Senior Transportation Connection
Our goal is to determine how our organizations can partner long-term to serve our communities and, in particular, our older adults through programs, resources, community projects, and other resources. Members of the public, as well as our residents and their families, are invited and encouraged to attend.
All of us at McGregor believe in the mission of Common Ground to engage community members, organizations, businesses, and non-profits like ours in forward-looking conversations centered on the future of our community. As a senior care organization, McGregor is acutely aware of the difference that an engaged community can make on behalf of its residents, particularly as they age. We look forward to a dynamic and impactful conversation on July 29. * This event is Open to the Public. Other guests are welcome to participate.
