McGregor Celebrates Nursing Staff with Nurses Week

Creating and Nurturing Connections

McGregor is celebrating the essential role that skilled nursing care centers, like McGregor Gardens and our staff play in creating and nurturing connections for our residents.

As human beings we have a natural yearning to connect. Studies have linked people with strong social relationships to many aspects of positive health outcomes, especially among older adults.
Skilled nursing care centers and their staff provide a steadfast commitment to providing high-level of care for their residents. This has never been more evident than the last two years during the pandemic.
In addition to protecting and caring for their residents around the clock during a time of limited visitation and social distancing, staff stepped in and served as family members and friends to ensure that residents had the essential social connections they needed.
Many of our staff sacrificed time with their own families to help support each other in the compassion and care they gave to our residents; thereby, easing the burden of stress on our families who are enduring challenges of their own.
“Kindness can transform someone’s dark moment with a blaze of light. You’ll never know how much your caring matters. Make a difference for another today.” ― Amy Leigh Mercree
