Start Your STNA Career in Nonprofit Senior Care

McGregor recognizes how important it is to focus on workforce development in healthcare and aging services. Every senior care provider is facing the same great challenge: hiring the skilled, qualified nurses and healthcare workers we need to serve our residents. 

This is why we have formed a collaboration with other local non-profit senior care organizations—including Jennings of Ohio, Eliza Jennings, and Judson—to unite against these recruitment challenges that we share. We do this primarily through our STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) Training Earn & Learn Program.

By providing opportunities for individuals to earn and learn, we can provide a broader spectrum of education and training. Not only do individuals participate in this program from outside of our organizations, but any caregivers within our communities that want to become certified as an STNA can participate and benefit from this program. 


How does it work?

We offer the STNA class at no cost so that interested participants can become certified and begin their career in healthcare. We are looking for compassionate, kind individuals to participate in a 3-week training course (again, at no cost to you) to join our team.

What do we offer participants?

We have eight positions available beginning June 1, 2023, for the Earn & Learn Program. We only take 8 students as we want all participants to receive intensive training and close attention from instructors, getting you where you need to be for your future career.

You will receive training, testing, and, upon completion of the class, you will qualify to take the state licensing exam within 120 days to obtain your STNA license. 

While you are learning, you will also be earning!

Schedule:
8-hour shift
Days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends
Part-time 20-29 hours/week
Full-time 30-39 hours/week

Compensation:
$11.00/hour while completing the training class
$14.00/hour after training until you pass the STNA test and receive your license
Up to $20.00/hour including shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift

Participants are also eligible for a variety of benefits (waiting period may apply) as well as supplemental pay including differential pay and a signing bonus. And the opportunities do not end once your salary is raised to $15/hour—you will have continual opportunities to move up the ladder within a highly regarded nonprofit senior care organization.
