Legal Aid Society Hosts Advice Clinic at McGregor

On July 25, the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland hosted a free legal advice and referral clinic in the McGregor Community Room.

Legal Aid serves people of all ages throughout Northeast Ohio by providing resources for people to learn their legal rights, advocating for positive systemic changes, and hosting free legal advice clinics in various neighborhoods throughout the Greater Cleveland area.

Additionally, the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland is a Spring 2023 recipient of a grant made by the McGregor Foundation. McGregor’s support allows Legal Aid to provide legal services for older adults in need and advocate for systemic change in areas specifically related to older adult issues.

This clinic, which was the first Legal Aid Clinic hosted at McGregor, drew a crowd of approximately 20 people who were seeking free legal advice from Legal Aid’s volunteer attorneys.

At the clinics, visitors are invited to meet one-on-one with a volunteer attorney, law student, or paralegal to ask any questions about legal issues related to money, housing, family, employment, or other non-criminal issues.

McGregor is proud to support groups like Legal Aid host events like these that serve so many people in our community.
