Saturday, October 18 ~ Celebrate The Sweetest Day by sharing an act of kindness with those around you. Send a loved one a card, a thoughtful gift, or some candy to make them smile.

The Sweetest Day originated right here in Cleveland in 1922 after philanthropist Herbert Birch Kingston began passing candy to those who were less fortunate. Eventually, candy companies in the area began participating by distributing thousands of candy boxes across the city. The holiday is mostly celebrated in the Midwest and embodies midwestern values like kindness and caring for your neighbors.

So, this Sweetest Day, share a treat with your neighbors, give someone a compliment, or simply share your smile with the world. No good deed is too small to impact someone’s day. Help spread some sweetness today; it may be more meaningful than you know.
