November 4: Election Day

Make your voice heard! Since 1845, Election Day has been observed on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November and is viewed as a symbol of democracy, freedom, and what is means to be American.

Voting occurs at the local, state, and federal level, with Presidential elections held every four years, state elections held every two, and local elections held at officials’ discretion. Exercising one’s right to vote is incredibly important to gather an accurate representation of the beliefs of the public. Political participation benefits our country, state, and local communities by bringing awareness of the issues and values we hold dear.

If you are registered to vote, encourage others to join you in making their voices heard. If not, you can register at: VoteOhio.gov | Ohio.gov | Official Website of the State of Ohio
