August is National Immunization Month; vaccines help the body’s immune system recognize harmful germs by introducing small amounts of antigens and fighting those antigens off. This trains the immune system without causing the disease itself. Now is the time to plan and prepare for what comes in the fall and winter season.

They help prevent the spread of contagious diseases, protecting those who cannot be vaccinated due to age, health conditions, or weakened immune systems. Immunizations are needed for individual protection, community health, and global disease prevention.
Protect yourself in advance of the fall season.
