National Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Supporting Women at Every Stage of Life

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about breast cancer, encourage regular screenings and remind women that taking care of their health is an important part of aging well.

At McGregor, we recognize that women’s health remains important throughout every stage of life. Many of the women who call McGregor home have spent decades caring for others, raising families, building careers and contributing to their communities. Their health and well-being deserve that same level of care and attention.

Breast cancer can affect women of all ages, and the risk of developing breast cancer increases with age. Staying informed about personal risk factors, talking with healthcare providers and following recommended screening guidelines can help women make informed decisions about their health.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month also gives families and friends an opportunity to show support for those living with breast cancer and remember loved ones whose lives have been touched by the disease.

At McGregor, our commitment goes beyond providing quality senior living and healthcare services. We strive to support the whole person – mind, body and spirit – while promoting dignity, independence, connection and renewed purpose.

This October, let’s encourage the women in our lives to prioritize their health, keep important medical appointments and have conversations with their healthcare providers. Together, we can help make healthy aging a lifelong priority.
