McGregor celebrates the theme of “Joyful Moments” for National Assisted Living Week

Kim Kennedy is the Director of Nursing at McGregor Assisted Living for the last four years. Beyond her typical scope of work, there is so much more than just clinical and medication assistance. “Giving residents the best quality of life and making the best possible atmosphere is why I do what I do,” Kim shared. “This is their home and we work here to make their lives richer”.
Proud to be a member of the team at McGregor, Kim went on to praise others like Yolanda, Andrea, Jojo, Jan, Kelvin, and Greg. She likes the continuum of services offered here, including the PACE program which keeps people in the community longer and when they need the additional services that McGregor provides, they can move into apartment living.
Kim has held a career in nursing for some time stating the importance of earning the trust of family members and residents alike.
Staff goes above and beyond the typical caregiving at McGregor. “The staff does things to enrich the lives of the residents and make them feel special, like movie nights, painting their nails, and other things to make them happy” she stated. Kim praised the staff for their commitment and dedication.
“We are all a part of one big, happy family”.
