National Intern Day is a holiday that is celebrated each year on the last Thursday of July. This annual observance gives organizations around the country a special day to recognize and celebrate the future leaders of the world: interns!
We would like to take this opportunity to commemorate and thank our 2024 interns for the good work they’ve done this summer!
Funded by the McGregor Foundation, the McGregor Summer Internship Program provides college students with a view of the many facets of aging services and the multitude of careers that support the delivery of care to those in need, from health administration to marketing & communications, from finance & accounting to social work, and everything in between.
So, without further ado, let’s meet the interns who have learned, explored their areas of interest, and brought new ideas to the tables of their respective teams at McGregor this summer!
Kaitlyn Keenan – Kaitlyn is a graduating senior at John Carroll University, where she is majoring in communication with a focus in integrated marketing and minoring in creative writing. Kaitlyn is interning at McGregor as a marketing and communication intern for Summer 2024. After graduation, Kaitlyn would like to pursue a career in public relations or content writing in the Cleveland area.
Brandon Rock – Brandon is in the social services master program at Case Western University. He is expecting to graduate in Spring 2025. Brandon is interning at McGregor as a social services intern for Summer 2024. After graduation, Brandon would like to be a therapist in a geriatric setting, where he can continue showing empathy and compassion through difficult decisions in others’ lives.
