Our volunteers are not just helpers; they are integral members of the McGregor family. They play a crucial role in building a stronger, more connected community. The relationships they forge with residents, staff, and fellow volunteers create a network of support and friendship that is invaluable.

We would like to take the time to recognize a very special young lady who has contributed so much time here at McGregor. Her knowledge, patience, positive attitude, and love for our residents. I met Cathy over year ago here. She is very courteous, prompt, and professional with her service. The best thing is even though she has graduated from Case , Cathy still comes to visit our residents . She is a true asset to McGregor and our residents love her.
Cathy graduated from CWRU in May 2024, majoring in biochemistry and minoring in chemistry, and bioethics and medical humanities. Besides volunteering at McGregor Home, she has also been involved in Kesem Greater Cleveland (an organization that supports children in the Greater Cleveland area impacted by a parent’s cancer), University Program Board (CWRU’s largest undergraduate student programming organization), the club Ultimate Frisbee team, and research at the Cleveland Clinic. She currently works at the Cleveland Clinic as a medical scribe and research technician and plan to head to medical school in summer 2025.
