Today we recognize the contributions of laborers across the United States and the history the American Labor movement.

Celebrated on the first Monday in September, Labor Day became a national holiday in 1894 after the Pullman Strike — a nationwide boycott that led to significant changes in labor policies. These workers paved the way for better wages and working environments for American lobbers to come, and kickstarted policy changes that still impact Americans today.
In honor of Labor Day, Cleveland offers plenty of activities to celebrate. Watch the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds showcase their incredible skills at the renowned Cleveland National Air Show at Burke Lakefront Airport. Find a spot downtown to watch and cover your ears as jets come thundering by.
Wishing everyone a Labor-less Day!
