Have you heard of how to get older without getting old?

These are individuals, who even at age 60 or 65, still believe longevity still has another 20-30 years left in the tank. They are seeking to absorb new information and actively apply it to their lives.

Just like Dr. Howard Tucker, a practicing neurologist at 100 years old saw opportunity and the positive side of what life has to offer and continued on the path to longevity and living 90 and beyond.

They say SuperAgers have many of the following characteristics and attributes.

They are positive and excited about the future-even challenging themselves to learn the latest in technology.

They remain active while seeking new experiences- maybe travel, learning a new language or how to dance!

They are engaged with the world around them and remain curious and goal oriented.

They are invested in themselves for the sake of good health, nutrition, and moderate exercise.

They consider themselves confident and well-informed whether it be world affairs, education, local and national news.

They are determined to keep fit, invested in themselves both mentally and physically, and they don’t believe that aging means looking old. They have it together.

They are their own best advocate, comfortable in setting goals 5, 10 or even 20 years in the future because they have that much more to accomplish!

They are bold, courageous, determined, and invested in what could be for their lifestyle they want to achieve. It’s not just hopes and dreams, but their positive reflection and attitude.

Take lessons from those before us: “Wrinkles should merely indicate where smiles have been,” said Mark Twain.

“You can’t help getting older, but you don’t have to get old” by George Burns.

“Age is just a number. It’s totally irrelevant unless, of course, you happen to be a bottle of wine.” – Joan Collins
