The day aims to help raise awareness about sleep health and encourage individuals to get the appropriate amount of sleep.

According to the Sleep Foundation, ‘Poor sleep in older adults is linked to increased risks of cognitive decline, depression, and poorer cardiometabolic health.” Going to bed on time provides much needed rest our brains and bodies need.
