April 5: Easter
Hoppy Easter! Easter is a holiday celebrated by Christians honoring Jesus resurrecting from the dead. Traditionally, Catholics participate in a forty-day period of preparation for Easter known as Lent. Beginning on Ash Wednesday and ending on Easter Sunday, Lent is a time for reflection, almsgiving, and personal growth. Many people may give up certain habits, foods, or devices to deepen their faith.
Lent culminates in Easter Sunday, a celebration of the resurrection of Christ. Participants traditionally wear bright colors, hold easter egg hunts, and host family gatherings.
This Easter spread some joy through an act of kindness or reaching out to the community.
