McGregor and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Help Stokes Scholars Make a Meaningful Connection

When five Louis Stokes Scholars visited McGregor this summer, they came prepared to learn about the law. What they discovered was something even broader: how a legal career can connect to mission-driven work, community service, aging services, philanthropy, and the everyday decisions that help organizations serve people with dignity.

The visit was made possible through the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the leadership of Molly Farris, Chief of Staff at the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and Lee Ann O’Brien, Chief Marketing Officer at McGregor, who brought the students to for an up-close look at how the legal profession intersects with organizations such as The McGregor Foundation.

For McGregor, the visit was an opportunity to welcome the next generation of civic-minded leaders and introduce them to the many ways law, governance, nonprofit leadership, healthcare, housing, ethics, compliance, and philanthropy come together in service to older adults and the broader community.

McGregor extends its sincere thanks to Molly Farris and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association for bringing the Louis Stokes Scholars to campus and for continuing to create opportunities that inspire students to see the law as a powerful tool for leadership, justice, and service.

As the Scholars continue their summer experience, their visit to McGregor serves as a reminder that meaningful careers are often built through connection—connection to mentors, to mission, to community, and to the people whose lives are strengthened when organizations and professionals work together for the greater good.
