For nearly a year, Blandena and Noron Rodgers have been enjoying all that the McGregor PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program has to offer, filling their days with fun, friendship and new experiences.
The couple attends PACE twice a week and participates in a variety of activities, including music sessions, bingo, trivia games, puzzles and arts and crafts. One activity has become a particular favorite, a spirited game of Air Hockey that really brings out their competitive sides!

The Rodgers first learned about PACE through a friend who lives in their apartment building, located just a short distance from the center. After speaking with members of the PACE team and learning more about the services and opportunities available, they decided to join, and they have been glad they did ever since.
“I think the program is very nice, and my husband and I really appreciate that PACE takes us to our doctor appointments when we need transportation,” said Mrs. Rodgers. “We also really love the fact that doctors and medical professionals are always onsite at PACE when we need to see them.”
“After being platonic friends for 22 years, we dated and have now been married 35 years,” said Rodgers. “We love spending time together, like our time at PACE, having fun outside of the things we normally do. We enjoy the lunches too, and they’re certainly not stingy with the food,” she added with a smile.
Beyond the activities and services, the Rodgers value the friendships they have built along the way. “We’ve made new friends, and since people attend on different days, we’re always meeting someone new,” Rodgers said. “By staying active, social, and keeping our minds sharp, we truly feel like we’re living the good life.”
