McGregor Is Committed to Our Community’s Older Adults

Providing High-Quality Aging Services in Cuyahoga County

Every May, the Administration for Community Living leads the nation’s observance of Older Americans Month (OAM), a time to recognize older Americans’ contributions, highlight aging trends, and reaffirm commitments to serving the older adults in our communities. The 2024 theme is Powered by Connection, which recognizes the profound impact that meaningful relationships and social connections have on our health and well-being. We will explore the vital role that connectedness plays in supporting independence and aging in place by combatting isolation, loneliness, and other issues.

Each year, the Administration for Community Living leads Older Americans Month exploring how our older adults can remain in and be involved with their communities. This is not only a theme for the month of May but it is central to how we approach our work in aging services at McGregor.

We believe in promoting seniors’ independence, whether they continue to live in their home (and perhaps participate in the PACE program) or reside in one of our senior living communities. With extra help from aging services, older adults can keep contributing to their community and better enjoy life—that is our primary goal.

During Older Americans Month, we have an important opportunity to shine a light on aging services as a basic right for everyone in our community.

  • Your needs—and your family’s needs—are our focus.
There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to aging services. Your unique needs, preferences, and desires will be heard and valued.
  • You deserve quality aging services.
Aging services are a basic right of all older adults. Our services, from Independent Living to nursing care, provide a continuum of care as you age.
  • You will benefit from our caregiving professionals.
Our aging services are provided by a team of compassionate, dedicated, and highly trained individuals who promote your physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being.
