Cora Young is the new community liaison at McGregor Assisted Living. Over the past three months, she has been carefully planning a Farmer’s Market for the greater community of McGregor and Cleveland.
“It has been an exciting process” she says, as she has been in contact with vendors and handing out flyers.” “Farmer’s Markets are a great way to bring people of all walks of life together.”
The event is an invitation for visitors to see the beautiful McGregor campus and shop for unique items. For the residents, this event is a one-of-a-kind opportunity as the chance to shop for new things doesn’t come every day. At our Farmer’s Market we will have plenty of different vendors with crafts, food, jewelry, clothing, etc. More importantly, it is an invitation for our residents to engage with new people and connect with the community.
Cora hopes the event will reveal to the public the kindhearted welcoming community inside McGregor. At McGregor, we put residents first and hold them in high regard. When considering the value in bringing all different types of people together, Cora claims “we are stronger together than we are separate and should celebrate life at any age”. Cora hopes this event will be a meaningful shared experience that benefits the community.
On July 29th we hope to see you and a friend at McGregor for our first annual Farmer’s Market!
