McGregor Foundation Awards Grants to Support Older Adult-Focused Organizations
April 22. 2026 – Cleveland, OH — The McGregor Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities and improving quality of life, is proud to announce its semi-annual funding awards to nonprofit organizations serving older adults.
On April 8, the distribution committee of the McGregor Foundation approved $455,000 in grant awards, supporting a total of 27 nonprofit organizations, which serve Cuyahoga, Lorain, and Summit Counties. This was the first grant cycle in which McGregor extended its grantmaking to Summit County, as it expands its McGregor PACE services in the county.
The spring grant cycle reflects a balanced mix of direct service delivery, community-based programming, food access, housing stability, legal services, behavioral health advocacy, and culturally responsive senior support. All the organizations supported align with senior stability, dignity and community well-being.
“Older adults are a vital part of our communities, and it is essential that we invest in the organizations that serve them,” said Tara Regan, Director of Philanthropy and Secretary to the Board at the McGregor Foundation. “These grants are designed to empower nonprofits to meet growing needs and ensure that aging populations receive the care, respect, and opportunities they deserve. This latest round of funding continues our tradition of enabling nonprofit organizations to scale programs, reach more individuals and innovate new approaches to aging services.”
“This funding helps us meet our older adults where they are and provide the programs and support that makes aging in our community healthier and helps our residents feel more connected, reducing isolation and promoting connection,” said Allison Urbanek, President, Barton Communities, who are a recent recipient of a McGregor grant. ‘We truly appreciate the McGregor Foundations’ support. Thank you.”

Grant recipients were chosen through a competitive application process, with priority given to organizations demonstrating measurable impact, strong community partnerships and a commitment to equity in serving older adults.
