On June 7th, communities across the country recognize National Cancer Survivors Day; a time to honor the strength, resilience and journeys of those who have faced cancer as well as their families, caregivers and healthcare teams who have supported them along the way.

For many older adults, survivorship is a deeply meaningful chapter of life. It reflects not only medical milestones and recovery, but also the importance of emotional support, community connection and access to quality care. It is about the everyday courage it takes to keep moving forward and the people who walk alongside them through uncertainty and healing.
In Northeast Ohio, survivors are surrounded by a strong network of care and community, from local health systems to neighborhood organizations that prioritize whole-person wellbeing. These connections help ensure that no one faces their journey alone.
At The McGregor Foundation, we honor the strength it takes to face illness, the hope that carries people forward and the communities that make healing possible. On this day, we recognize survivors not only for what they have overcome, but for the lives they continue to live with courage, purpose and resilience.
Today we honor strength, we uplift hope and we celebrate community.
