Emily Hartman, who has been attending McGregor PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program for almost a year, first learned about the program when she changed insurance providers. For her needs, PACE proved to be the most convenient and comprehensive option.
A naturally creative person, Ms. Hartman spent 28 years working as a floral designer in the Detroit area before moving back to Northeast Ohio with the help of her family.

“I’m not really a person who likes to play games or cards, but the creative activities here at PACE appealed to me,” she said. “I spend time drawing and coloring and I enjoy that.”
Hartman attends the center one day each week and appreciates the support and convenience PACE provides.
“I like coming one day a week, and it’s very convenient to have someone here coordinating my medical appointments,” she said. “I’ve made some friends, and I’m pretty close to the driver who picks me up and brings me home. Zac Lovejoy, my social worker, is really great too—I like him a lot.”
Emily says the relationships she has built and the opportunity to get out of the house make a meaningful difference in her life. “I’ve been treated well here, and it’s nice to get out of the house one day a week,” she said.
McGregor PACE operates five Adult Day Health Centers throughout Cuyahoga, Lorain and Summit counties.
