Innovation isn’t always about creating something entirely new. Sometimes, it’s about developing an approach so effective that others want to bring it to their own communities.

Since opening its doors in 2015, InMotion has served more than 1,560 people with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners, offering over 20,000 classes at no cost to participants. Their evidence-based programs combine exercise, education, and community support to help people live well with Parkinson’s.
That success has led to an exciting milestone. In 2025, InMotion completed its first replication partnership with the Kirk Gibson Center for Parkinson’s Wellness in Detroit, allowing its proven model to reach even more people.
For nonprofits, sharing what works can be just as impactful as creating it. By expanding its approach beyond Northeast Ohio, InMotion is demonstrating how one organization’s innovation can inspire broader change and improve lives in communities far beyond its own.
At McGregor, we know that lasting impact grows through collaboration, learning, and a willingness to invest in ideas that can benefit more people. InMotion’s story is a powerful reminder that when effective programs are shared, their impact can extend far beyond where they began.
