Pursue a Career in Health Care Without a Degree
Take the First Step to a Fulfilling Career
Are you interested in a career in health care but have no current plans for college or getting a nursing degree? Maybe you have your GED or just graduated from high school and are seeking meaningful employment. You’re interested in caregiving, but want to go a step beyond being a caregiver. If this is you, you should know that McGregor will pay for you to get your state tested nurse assistant (STNA) certification. STNAs assist and monitor patients and support nurses and doctors providing patient care—administering medications, managing patient nutritional needs, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, and much more.
Here’s how it works: We provide 12 weeks of training to you for no charge. We also pay for you to take the first test for your STNA certification. (If you don’t pass, you’ll need to take it again at your expense until you do.) Once you pass, your salary will be bumped up to $20 per hour and you’ll need to stay on our team for one year. From there, you can explore other opportunities for advancement at McGregor.
